Weekly Roundup

I think about our future kitchen design every day and one of the biggest things I debate in my own head is whether to do upper cabinets or open shelves. At the end of the day, I want cabinets, but the layout might lend itself better to shelves. I'll get into this more soon, BUT! the conundrum reminded me of Erin's kitchen which has no upper storage at all. I wonder if I can take the minimal plunge this much. I love the simplicity.

Since we're on the topic of kitchens, I am pinning the hell outta this one from Juniper Studio. Speaking of Pinterest, are you following me? I pin some real gems!

I'm still planning for my upcoming Australia and New Zealand trip which is coming up waaay too fast. I'm going to try my hardest to pack as light as possible since we'll be moving from city to city frequently. I got this mini hair straightener/curler to fit in a tiny suitcase compartment, but the hardest thing to cut back on is the shoes. I need hiking/exercise kicks, walking shoes, sandals (it's summer there), and a pair of nice flats. Ross wears these sneakers for most all of those needs, but I like more variety - but I will indeed be bringing my own pair of those same sneakers. If you recall from the facts about me that I shared on Instagram, Ross and I can't share shoes because mine are...bigger thank his - a whopping women's size 13. Shout out to all the gals that messaged me about their big feet! I'm hopeful that I have enough summer clothes to pack even though I got rid of most of my wardrobe.

Anna of Annabode recently launched a shop featuring Denver makers and artists. If you aren't in the Colorado area, you can shop the wares online.

This Old Hudson launched a second unit and it's just as good as the first, obviously.

One of my favorite bloggers of all time, Daniel, of Manhattan Nest, took a break from blogging. He's back with a new post and he's sharing the trip he took along with true honesty about being a blogger, a human, and someone living in 2018. <3

Domino compiles a list of blogs they'll be bookmarking this year. I'm definitely excited to see what several of them have up their sleeves.

Sarah is selling her a-frame! Gasp.

I've bookmarked this page so I can vote every day for my favorites in the House & Home category in the annual Shorty Awards.

Here's an interesting read on paid followers, social media bots, and stolen virtual identities. Warning, this calls for a big pot of coffee - it's not a brief read.

Tell me, do you vote upper cabinets, open shelves, or no wall storage at all?

Happy Friday!
